Barrowford lands a new charity shop – for the North West Air Ambulance.
The North West Air Ambulance charity shop (Barrowford) opened on 14th April 2019 and looks immaculate.
We chatted to Shop Manager, Julie Fisher, who explained that the Barrowford Store will be hosting a ‘Brew with the Crew’ event on Thursday 18th April between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. A free brew, maybe some cakes and an fabulous opportunity to learn about the charity.
We would welcome any donations to help the N.W. Air Ambulance. We can collect (or deliver) larger items, like furniture. We’re also looking for volunteers to help with the shop.
Volunteers are integral for ensuring that residents and visitors to the North West have access to a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. This service operates 7 days week, 365 days a year. Shop volunteers are being sought, but the wider charity has other volunteering opportunities available, such as Speaker Volunteer, Administration Volunteer and Fundraising Volunteer. (Training and qualifications are available).

The shops stocks a wide range of items – such as books, house-ware, furniture, clothes, jewellery etc.
