Colne branch of Santander Bank reopens following extensive refurbishment
The Colne branch of Santander branch re-opened on Thursday 20th Feb 2020 following an extensive refurbishment to make the branch more focused on customers & customer service. It looks super!
The outside of the branch looks fresh and the cashpoint machine has been moved to the left of the entrance. The inside of the bank looks bright and fresh, with a large open space for customers in the centre. There are two additional cash machines to the left and a lovely picture of Colne Parish Church. There is an online banking computer station, a service desk to the rear of the bank and multiple private rooms to each side.
At the time of our visit, staff were busy helping customers – really busy. But, that’s not unexpected as they have been closed for almost a month!Branch Manager Norma Tinsley said,
“When we looked at the position we were at on Monday, we didn’t think that we would re-open on time. But the whole team has pulled together to make this happen on schedule. We’re really happy about the new look and really excited about the services that we can offer.
We’ll be having an official opening celebration sometime in the near future.”
Community Noticeboard
The bank has gone to the trouble of creating a ‘Community Noticeboard’ to show community events and also to highlight their involvement in the community. This is a fabulous idea, after all not everyone is hooked to up the internet or is au-fait with technology. It’s a little thing, but clearly shows their commitment to the local community.
