Colne Santander Bank raises £660 for Alzheimer’s Society

National Elf Day at Santander Bank Colne raises £660 for Alzheimer’s Society

Staff at the Colne Branch of Santander Bank were in the festive spirit on Fri 6th Dec, dressed as Elves for National Elf Day.  On the day, they raised £660 for the Alzheimer’s Society.  (£330 raised, with £330 match funded by Santander).

Although we perhaps don’t often hear about them, Colne Santander is plugged into our local community – they regularly help local charitable causes. For example, earlier this year, they match funded a coffee morning event that was raising money for the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre. Staff have also volunteered a few hours each at our local ‘Help the Aged’ charity.

One thing that’s very clear – all the staff are super friendly and are pretty much on first name terms with all their customers.

Santander Branch Closure
Don’t forget … the Colne Branch of Santander is closing on 18th January 2020 for some major internal refurbishment. It is scheduled to re-opn on 20th Feb 2020.  During this refurbishment period, all the cash-point machines will be unavailable.

This is a temporary closure for refurbishment. The changes are based around customer convenience and allowing more efficient delivery of (and additional) services within the community.  At the request of customers, the externally facing cash-point machine will be moved to the other side from where it is now.

Although the branch will re-open in late Feb, the official opening day is scheduled for March 2020 … and, hopefully, we’ll be there to record  the proceedings.
