Road Closures
Road closures & bus services diversions will be in effect from 10 am on Friday 26 August 2022 until 3 am on Monday 29 August 2019.
Albert Road from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with New Market Street,
New Market Street from its junction with Albert Road to the junction of Church Meadows,
Church Street to the junction with Walton Street, 33 Church Street and Craddock Road.
Bus Service Changes
Bus services diversions and alterations will be in effect from 10 am on Friday 26 August 2022 until 3 am on Monday 29 August 2019.
Service 68
The inbound journey to Colne will be diverted from Nelson (Barrowford Road) via Vivary Way, North Valley Road and Windy Bank to serve the Bus Station and then returning via the reverse route, serving South Valley Drive, before returning to Nelson.
All Mainline Services
Colne direction Mainline buses will turn left onto Whitewalls Drive. Then ahead onto Vivary Way and North Valley Road. Turn right up Skipton Road and onto Craddock Road, then turning right into Market Street where the normal bus route can be resumed.
Burnley direction Mainline buses will use the Bus Station then turning right from Craddock Road into Market Street and then left down Skipton Road. Then proceed via North Valley, Vivary Way and Whitewalls Drive.
Whizz Buses
Will leave the M65 and then onto North Valley Road, turning right up Skipton Road, as the above diversion. The return journey will be the same as the Mainline buses until the M65.
Albert Road, Queen Street and Lord Street will not be served.
