Gisburn Road – Blocked in Barrowford at Dicky Nook

Gisburn Road blocked just above Dicky Nook (8am 28th July 2019)

At approx 8am this morning (28th July 2019), a large section of a tree has fallen into Gisburn Road in Barrowford (just above Dicky Nook) and has completely blocked the road in both directions.

Police are in attendance.  If travelling up Gisburn Road in Barrowford (i.e. heading in the direction of Blacko/Gisburn), then be careful as you pass the Bridge Inn and approach the bend at Dicky Nook – as you’ll immediately be faced with a tree in the road.

(This is very near to the junction of Gisburn Road & Barnoldswick Road … but that is unaffected).
