The Judges & Helpers
All contestants were required to register at the start of the event … nothing too complicated … name & contact details. The event was hosted by Colne Gala Committee member Neil Butterworth and the judges for this year’s competition were Maggie Owens (Commercial Hotel), Paul Earnshaw (Earnie’s) and Karen Shaw (Loop Publishing).
Music was courtesy of DJ Craig Thompson and his helper – they saw us coming with the photo’s and we get sneaky tongues stuck out! Cheers Craig! It’s nice to see the contestants having fun … and the smiles on the contestants faces said it all.
Top 5 Performances
In no particular order, the five acts that were chosen by the judges to perform on stage at the Colne Gala are :- Chloe Andrews, Donna Stovold, Georgia Stovold, Cadey & Bailey and Joe & Lucy. Well done!
Some acts & other snippets
After the competition …
Sunday night at the Commercial is karaoke night, so some of the judges and a few of the audience headed across the road to the Commercial to have a drinks and listen to two lovely ladies entertain us! One was a previous winner of ‘Colne’s Got Talent’ too! That, of course, would be the very talented Shauna (you’ll spot her working at Earnie’s) and Maggie’s daughter Stacey.
