Thats’s Lancashire TV help promote awareness of Motor Neurone Disease

TV interview of Julie Sala and Tracy Sconce at That’s Lancashire TV Channel in Preston to promote the 27 mile walk (from Preston to Colne) to help the fight against Motor Neurone Disease by raising awareness and vital funds for MND Charities.

The walk will be on Saturday 23rd September 2017 and is scheduled to start at around 8 am from the Royal Preston Hospital. They’d love a donation, but equally would love you to beep your horn, wave or say Hi to them … they’ll need all the encouragement they can get to complete the long walk.

Julie and Tracy are part of our Colne & District Nursing team (Julie has been seconded to Royal Preston Hospital for a year and is currently working as a specialist nurse with their MND Care Team). Therefore, the walk this year will be a joint effort from our Colne & District Nurses and from the MND Care Team at the Royal Preston Hospital.

Last year, they raised £7,500 and their target for this year is an ambitious £10K … which is quite some task. As per previous years, their sponsor Lloyd Colne BMW is providing a support vehicle (plus driver) and all the refreshments for the walking team.
