Burnley Fire Station
Burnley Fire Station was the last point for the P2B4MND walk.
We arrived about half an hour before the walkers and Lancashire Fire & Rescue had brought out two fire appliances onto the forecourt and decorated the outside of the fire station with balloons and a ‘finishing line’ tape.
However, they managed to get two shouts about 10-15 minutes apart which meant that some crews and two engines had to leave! By the time the walkers had arrived, there was only a skelton fire crew remaining at the station so it was decided that the group photo of the walkers and fire crews would be taken later. Not likely … there was “prosecco” available so that effectively takes out all of our health professionals out of general circulation for a good while! Then there were more pies, cakes, sweets, drinks. Not a chance of any more photo’s! 🙂
